Summer semi-hibernation
Posted on July 5th, 2007
A note to those of you who have noticed the site looking a bit sparse lately: I’ll be tending to the site a little less over the next couple months. My fiancee and I are closing on a house in a couple weeks, then moving (staying in Northeast!), finishing wedding plans, getting married, and heading to Alaska for our honeymoon. It’s all starting to ramp up now, and I don’t think I’ll have time to get more than a post or two per week up through the end of summer. Please use the Northeast Beat Forums to discuss anything you don’t see here. I should be back on the beat before the end of September. Thanks! Dan Haugen

Congrats on all the big plans!
Glad to hear you’re staying in NE.
I fully intend to buy a house in NE either next summer, or the summer of 2009.
Hey Dan: On behalf of the Tyler/Polk folk, welcome to the block! We’re all delighted that you’ll be joining our groovy ‘hood. Our Nordeast nook has tons of artists, writers, musicians and other creative types—you’ll fit right in!
I’ve lived in this spot for 27 years and couldn’t ask for a more vibrant yet down-home environment. If you need help hauling stuff into your house, just holler!
Heads up regarding NorthEast Night. It is a function of the North East Business Association and you can find out more about it at http://www.northeastminneapolis.com/happening.html
I don’t have time to create an account for the forum at the moment, so I thought I’d post it here.
Congratulations! Thanks for sticking with the site and in NE!
Congrats!! A little eery though, as me and my husband had an Alaska honeymoon and bought a house in NE….
Anyhow, glad you’re staying in the neighborhood!
Congratulations! Have a wonderful couple months, and I look forward to hearing more about Northeast when you return.
