Gabby’s Saloon scuffle ends in shooting: court papers

A confrontation that started at Gabby’s Saloon ended in a fatal shooting along Interstate 94 earlier this month , according court documents, the Star Tribune reports. The incident took place Feb. 11 and involved a group of men in their mid-20s. The shooting happened after the bar closed and the victim and suspects had left the neighborhood. Ricardo Walker, 23, was waiting near West Broadway and Washington avenues when an SUV pulled alongside his minivan and shots were fired, according to the report. Dan Haugen

Can’t they close Gabby’s? The ownership needs to be more responsible to the NE community. It’s no coincidence that the shootings and other general problems coincide with their hip-hop nights
I’m hoping that the hammer comes down shortly. We’ve been told by the commander of the 2nd Precinct that Gabby’s has been given some “options†by licensing. If they don’t voluntarily comply with the options and suggested guidelines, we’ve been told that the City Council will take action.
